As you know, the English language is riddled with Greek words. The word “Alphabet” for instance is formed by the first two letters “alpha” and “beta”, and there are countless other words like “gymnasium” and “theatre”. At the same time though, Modern Greekis a difficult language and not easily legible. Names of cities and places are pronounced differently from what is written in your travel brochure.If you like to spend your holidays in Greece, visit Greece regularly for business purpose, liveand even work in Greece, it isvery useful and quite enjoyable to speak Greek.What would bemore effective and fun than learning Greek in the country itself?

We, the OMILO team, are here to assist you to learn Modern Greek. We work in small groupsand also provide private tutoring. Our highly trainedstaff combinesits teaching skills with yourown experience to obtain the required results –either ordering a coffee or having a conversation with a neighbor, a friend or a colleague at work. With OMILO, you will learn to communicate in Greek and at the same time you will acquire a better knowledge of contemporary Greek life.

The OMILO offices are located in Maroussi, an easily accessible area in northern Athens. This is where our courses for all levels take placein a very friendly atmosphere. We also organize intensive Greek classes in the picturesque town of Nafplion and on the sunny Cycladic islands of Syros and Andros.

However, for those unable to travel to Greece, we also offer an email-lessons program. Email lessons are ideal for those wanting to continue learning Greek outside Greece. Hence, you can learn Greek and make progress at your own pace, from anywhereat anytime.

What we offer?

• 10/8 -week courses in Maroussi (North-Athens). Lessons twice weekly. Morning or evening courses.
• 4-week courses in Maroussi (North-Athens). 2 hours of lessons every weekday
• 1- or 2-week intensive courses in Athens , Nafplion (Greek Easter), the islands of Syros,Andros and Lefkada .
  Lessons every day for 4 hours/day, in combination with cultural activities.
• One-to-one courses for different time-periods and different intensity.
• Preparatory courses for the Greek State Examinations.
• Greek cultural Week : Greek dancing, cooking and painting lessons on an island
• Email lesson program

Who is learning Greek at OMILO?

Our students are as different as people from all over the world, which always creates a very international atmosphere. Most of our students in the Greek classes have the ambition to make a lot of progress in a short time. Everybody between 17 and99 years old is very welcome. Younger learners are also welcome for one-to-one courses.

Where can you find OMILO?

Our office and premises are based in Maroussi (north-Athens) at 300 meters from the Maroussi metro station. Greek lessons are offered in Maroussi from September till June.

The intensive Easter and summer courses take place in the beautiful town of Nafplion and on the Cycladic islands Syros and Andros.
